There are plenty of leisurely walks to take around the resort ... with many interesting things to see.Top HikingHike the world-famous Na Pali Coast Kalalau trail to any of several beautiful destinations. Pali means 'cliffs", and these cliffs are just spectacular. The trail starts at Ke'e Beach, with the first stop at the 1/2 mile marker ... a beautiful place, with a vantage point that lets you see the cliffs and shoreline below. So far, it is an easy hike. From here on it is best to have hiking boots, and if it has rained recently, be prepared to walk through some water and deal with some slippery mud. Next stop is Hanakapai'i Beach, two miles along the coast. This is a good stopping spot, to rest and head back to Ke'e. If you have the time and energy, another two miles up the Hanakapai'i River takes you to the Hanakapai'i Falls. Serious hikers may want to go on to the famous Kalalau Valley. It is a tough, but beautiful, hike we are told. Horseback ridingHorseback ride on trails with a distant ocean view, and climb to the falls below. Your reward? ... a refreshing dip into glorious pools of fresh mountain water.Top Historic Kilauea Lighthouse and National Wildlife PreserveVisit historic Kilauea Lighthouse and National Wildlife Preserve. This lighthouse has a spectacular view of the North Shore cliffs and the beautiful Pacific Ocean ... from the vantage point of the northern-most point in the Hawaiian Islands. The wildlife preserve is primarily a bird sanctuary, where you will see many birds found only in Hawaii ... many of which winter at this location. This beautiful and interesting site is just a short drive from Princeville Bed and Breakfast.
